I love my little hummingbirds and have a feeder hanging on the kitchen window so I can see them all day. Yesterday afternoon after the rain I noticed one flying around and feeding. I grabbed my camera to take some photos and noticed it had decided to take a rest between feedings by sitting on a shepherd's hook plant holder just below the kitchen window. It would feed for a while then fly to the hook and sit, then back to the feeder. I had to take these pictures thru the window so they are not real clear but a few came out good enough to share. The cat is certainly enjoying watching the hummingbirds as well. As I was typing out this blog she tried to attack one right thru the window, instead falling into the sink, knocking over the dishes in the drain and making a huge noise. I am not sure who it scared the most, the bird, the cat or me. Crazy cat, doesn't she realize she can't get to the bird thru the glass window???
