Montana Badlands

As everyone knows, our son, Joey, is a paleontologist. I've had the honor of visiting him and spent a week in the badlands of eastern Montana digging for dinosaur bones. The badlands were nothing like what I expected. I honestly felt the entire time that I was on Mars or some other desolate planet. I had never in my life been to such a place and I found it extremely interesting. Life there is uncomplicated, very laid back. The next few days I will be writing about my time there and posting some photos. David went to visit Joey another time and I will also be including his photos. When David went they had received more rain than usual so it was actually green as opposed to the varying shades of brown I experienced. Today I will start with some photos of the badlands from my visit.
