Hannah and the Planetarium

We had the honor of having Hannah visit for the weekend. I picked her up after school on Friday and that night we took her on her first visit to a planetarium. I thought she would enjoy it but had no idea just how much. We saw three shows in the planetarium plus we had the opportunity to look through four telescopes. She got to see Comet Holmes, the Andromeda galaxy and the moon on the three outside telescopes that had been set up for public viewing that night. We also stood in a long line to climb the ladder and look through the very large observatory telescope to get an upclose view of the moon's craters. I have always loved astronomy and it warms my heart to know Hannah is showing an interest in it too. She can easily pick out the Big Dipper and Orion in the night sky. Hannah absolutely loved it all and on the way home exclaimed that it had been the best night of her entire life! WOW!
