We moved from Georgia into South Carolina yesterday to another campground. We have a nice site on the lake. Below are a couple of photos. The first one is the view from our "office" window, looking out into our front yard for the next 2 weeks. The second photo is of our RV sitting on the site. I've seen a few blue heron already but didn't have my camera ready. Hope to get some photos of them while here. Sadly we left all the baby geese and the mother duck still sitting on her nest yesterday. I felt so blessed to have had the experiences I had while there. We will be returning to that same campground in September so maybe the baby geese will still be there and we'll get to see how much they have grown and changed in our absence. And with any luck we'll get to see the 6 little ducklings that were only eggs when we were there. Call me crazy, but I conversed with the geese each day. The parents would bring their babies to me to be fed and I would always thank them and invite them to return when they were hungry, promising to feed them each time. They would drop by about 3 times a day and each time I greeted them, fed them and thanked them for making my day a special one, then asked them to return. I only saw the family with 4 babies once and the family with the 7 little ones only once but the family with the 3 babies never missed a day dropping by. It was truly a remarkable week, probably my favorite since we started full-timing.
