Hannah's Christmas Play

Tonight David and I were honored to attend the Christmas play at Hannah's school. It is a small school and grades pre-K thru grade 5 were part of the play. The theme was Christmas around the world and each class sang songs from various countries. Hannah is in 2nd grade and her class sang the song "Aye Said the Donkey" and Hannah was the donkey and had the first verse solo. Below you will find a little video of her singing. When the kindergarten class came out on stage one little boy had the entire audience laughing hysterically. He had spotted his mother in the audience and loudly announced to every one that he saw her. Before we knew it he had spotted another boy's mother and again announced it. Then another and another. It was so funny! At one point when they had finished a song everyone applauded but apparently this boy's father had not because the boy shouted "Dad... you are supposed to clap!" By that time the entire audience was laughing hysterically. It was so funny. Another funny moment occurred when Hannah's class was singing the donkey song and it was the sheep's turn to sing. There were two curly horned sheep that supposed to sing that verse but another kid standing behind them was also singing and one of the curly horned sheep turned around right in the middle of the song to say "you are not a sheep, you are not supposed to be singing! Priceless! What a wonderful night. We are so fortunate to be living so close to our grand daughter. She is such a delight and just melts our hearts. How blessed we are!
