Locked Out! That’s what I was early this morning. David got up early to go meet his best friend, Don, for breakfast then had another meeting to follow and would not be returning to the RV until around noontime. I was just getting up as he was leaving. I managed to walk into the kitchen, make a pot of coffee then turn on my computer. I had opened the blinds and saw a beautiful blue heron flying over the lake and decided this was a good photo opportunity so grabbed my camera and out the door I went. As the door closed behind me I knew what had just happened. When David leaves while I am still in bed he locks the door from the outside. From the inside the door appears to be unlocked so you are not alerted. I pulled on the handle and sure enough the door was locked. What to do? There I was wearing only a T-shirt and shorts. I had not put on my contacts or brushed my hair. You could tell I had just crawled out of bed. I walked around to see if our kind neighbors were home. They were but I didn’t see them up yet. It was only 7:00am, all was quiet and no one was up and stirring yet. I looked down the road a bit and saw a man about 3 sites away. I walked down and told him of my little problem and asked if I could use his cell phone to call David. He was kind and allowed me to do so. David and Don arrived back at the RV about 20 minutes later. Whew! What a rough start to my day. Today was laundry day, how exciting! Well at least we now have clean clothes. Tonight we went to visit David’s cousin, Larry and his family. We always have a lot of fun with them. They had invited several of their friends as well, people we had met before and David knows pretty well. It always turns out to be a fun evening spending time with them and tonight was no exception. The park closes the gate at 10:00pm and we tried to get back before it was locked but arrived 10 minutes late. We ended up having to walk back to our site. At first I was upset but it is a beautiful night and we both thoroughly the enjoyed the starry sky walk. Many campers were out and had campfires burning and it was just a nice highlight to cap off this day. It may have started out bad with being locked out of the RV but the rest of the day was great!
I told you that I would put you on my blog!
