Oh my what a busy week! We are trying to get ready for our trip to Texas all the while doing our every day things so it has become hectic.
On Sunday we did take some time to go geo-caching. What fun! We were 3 for 3 on finding the cache. We looked for some hidden cache’s in this area and found one was right here in the park where we are currently staying. After reading about all three we decided to save the one in the park for last since it had the roughest terrain. One great thing about geo-caching is that it affords you little side trips that you may not normally take. We had picked up a brochure that mentioned a covered bridge in one area where we were going to look for a cache. I love covered bridges. When we lived in Pennsylvania we saw many but this one was listed as one of the last remaining in Georgia. The directions on the brochure were not very detailed and we followed them but never found the bridge. Oh well… it was a pretty drive in a place we would otherwise not have traveled. We found the first 2 caches’s easily but the last one we were certainly glad we saved for last. Had we done it first we would not have had the energy to look for the others. We managed to find it though! It was a perfect day for the searching.
The birds have finally shown up to my feeders. I have noticed it usually takes about a week before birds actually find the feeders then they stay occupied. Robins, Titmouse, Chickadees, Sparrows, Cardinals and my favorite little Goldfinches, are all abundant in this park. I have taken several photos of the finches. Oreo sure loves watching them. She keeps her eyes glued to the windows. The squirrels in the park seem fairly tame. I take Millenni on walks several times a day around the loop and they don’t even try to run away when they see a dog approaching. Millenni even ignores them. I think she is only interested if there is a chase involved, ha…ha…ha…
OK, back to work now to get the last minute things taken care of. Millenni has a vet appointment today and I have to drive 80 miles to get there. Now that we have moved the vet office is farther away. Until next time….
Oh Yeah… we got the Satellite TV working!
