Land of the Sky

Last Friday on ABC's news show, 20/20 there was a segment on the happiest places in the world. I found it interesting. Much was discussed on the program and apparently after a lot of research the happiest place in the world is Denmark. I had heard this before. They presented a lot of info on Denmark and now it is on my list of places I would love to someday visit. The big shock came at the end of the program when they talked about the happiest place in the USA. I was thinking hard trying to choose the place when they announced Asheville, North Carolina! What? Asheville? WOW! I could hardly believe what I heard. Asheville, Land of the Sky, is the happiest place in the entire USA. For those reading this blog, I grew up just outside of Asheville. And anyone who knows me at all knows I always talk about what a happy childhood I had. Maybe there is something to this. Asheville is a delightful city. Each summer they have the Bele Cher festival which is a lot of fun. For anyone interested in reading more about why Asheville was chosen as the happiest place in the USA you can click here .
